Deep plum red. Blackcurrant, forest berry and menthol nose with a hint of spice. Plums, aniseed, black pepper, cloves & leather on the palate. Tannins lend well-integrated texture. Medium-bodied with a long, refreshing finish.

Hand-picked from the most flavour intense portion of unirrigated vineyard planted in 1995 on a steep, north facing slope. Vine material was sourced from pre-clonal selection vineyard planted in McLaren Vale by A.G. Baxendale in the 1970s. Minimal winemaking techniques capture the purest expression of variety and site. 13.8% alcohol. Drink to 2046.
